Can Rejuran Healer be used for loose skin on neck too?

While Rejuran Healer is most commonly injected into the face, it is safe to use on thinner skin as well, such as the neck. decollete , back of hands and eye areas. Similar to facial injections, clinicians will apply numbing cream to the targeted areas for about 45 minutes before skillfully injecting Rejuran into the skin with a very small needle at multiple injection sites. Similarly, there will be redness, swelling or little bumps after the treatment, but they will recover in 1-2 weeks.

Is Fotona4D facelift more effective than HIFU? What’s the difference?

Both Fotona4D and HIFU can help with face-lifting and skin tightening. But there are some key differences that you might want to take note of.

Fotona4D is a laser treatment that can be used on the face and neck to improve surface-level problems as well as giving you an immediate lifting effect. It has 4 dimensional functions that can specifically target each common problem area on your face. Namely, SmoothLiftin™, FRAC3® , PIANO®  and SupErficial.  Other than triggering the skin tightening process, it helps to improve the appearance of your face by addressing surface-level imperfections such as enlarged pores, pigmentation and expression line. However, results are more short-term and repeated treatments every 2-3 months are needed to maintain the results.

On the other hand, HIFU is useful for body slimming, skin tightening and face-lifting. Other than the face, it can target other areas such as the stomach, arms and thighs. Its radiofrequency energy can penetrate your skin much deeper than Fotona4D, hence stimulating collagen production to improve skin elasticity overtime. It does not have an immediate lifting effect like Fotona4D but it is more long-term. Only 1 follow-up treatment is needed every 2-3 months.

Therefore, if you are someone who is looking for a quick fix for special occasions, then Fotona4D might be more suitable for you as it not only lifts your skin, but also improves the overall skin tone and complexion to give you an immediate fresher, youthful look. However, if you want something that lasts longer, HIFU is the one as it helps your body stimulate collagen continuously. You can also consider HIFU if you are looking for treatments beyond the face.

Is needleless Rejuran less effective than Rejuran by injection?

There is a misconception that without injection, the results of Rejuran Skinbooster are not as effective. However, Rejuran Skinbooster actually has 75-80% efficiency, comparable to Rejuran Healer’s 80-95% efficiency. Being less pricey, you can purchase a larger amount of the Rejuran Skinbooster to cover a wider area of the face and neck in a shorter time if you use a needle-less plasma shower or micro-stamper to infuse the serum deeper into the skin with little or no pain. Therefore, if you are not ready for the pain or don’t want to go through the downtime, then the 5-15% wastage trade off is worth it. However, if you want to maximise effectiveness, you can consider Rejuran Healer as well.

If you are able to tolerate slight discomfort, you can consider the option of a doctor-administered injection that can treat targeted concerns and areas of your face better. The doctor can administer just the correct amount of Rejuran and concentrate in the area of the face where you need more of the rejuvenating effect.  The angle of attack (30 degree angle) and depth of penetration can make a big difference in results, With the latest super-thin 34G needles in a skillful hand, the discomfort can be kept to minimal while results are maximised.

What treatments will you recommend for anti-aging and hydrating?

Some of the popular anti-aging treatments in our clinic are Rejuran, Profhilo and Ultherapy.

The key ingredient in Rejuran Healer is PDRN made from processed salmon DNA. It is specifically designed to accelerate the repair and regeneration process of your skin cells for a rejuvenated and firmer skin. Its high content of Hyaluronic Acid helps to hydrate your skin as well. Therefore, it is commonly used on aging skin that struggles with surface-level problems such as dark spots, wrinkles, enlarged pores, and dehydration. Another common Rejuran product for anti-aging is Rejuran-I, specifically to treat eye wrinkles, crows feet and dark circles.

Rejuran typically helps with common skin problems:

  • Improving skin texture & complexion
  • Reducing enlarged pores and fine wrinkles
  • Improving skin elasticity for firmer, lifted skin
  • Hydrating and moisturizing dry skin
  • Reduce dark spots on face caused by scarring

Profhilo is the most talked about treatments in 2020/21 for good reasons. Firstly Profhilo contains Hyaluronic Acid in both high and low molecular weight. This combination gives Profhilo dual benefits. The low molecular HA will regenerate HA production, providing deep hydration to improve our skin moisture, while high molecular weight HA triggers natural collagen and elastin production to improve skin elasticity. Secondly, Profhilo is the first USA-FDA approved skin booster that is clinically proven to be effective for skin-lifting by strengthening the skin elastin – an organic structure of the skin that holds it up. Hence it’s best for dealing with ageing problems such as saggy loose skin, dry skin, wrinkles and fine lines. Profhilo only requires 5 strategic injections using the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique. This technique is formulated to minimise risk while maximizing spreadability and absorption with the least number of injections. Meanwhile, Rejuran requires multiple injections around the entire face, which will leave little red bumps.

Ultherapy uses High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to combat signs of ageing, specifically sagging skin and wrinkles on the face, neck and chest. Being the first USA-FDA approved HIFU in the world, Ultherapy is also the gold standard for the HIFU treatment category for several reasons. Firstly, it’s the only device that offers a Ultrasound See-Through technology to allow the physician to see a real cross-section image of the patient’s skin and measure precisely where the focused ray will be hitting inside the skin using a soft ultrasound. This unique visual measurement feature enables the physician to achieve more gain with less pain, especially so when Ultherapy can reach a depth of 4.5mm -deep in the EMAS layer of the skin. Thirdly, Ultherapy is also the first hifu to offer 3 depths of 1.5mm, 3mm and 4.5m, to precisely treat the 3 layers of the skin for different results: 1.5mm to tighten thinner areas of the skin, say around the eyes or neck, 3mm best for firming up skin around forehead /cheekbones, while 4.5mm to stimulate collagen regeneration inside the skin.]

Is Coolsculpting safe?

The recent issue with ex-supermodel Linda Evangeslita has many wondering if Coolsculpting is truly safe. Few people know that such an event is extremely rare and it is treatable: it occurred only in 1 in [10,0000] treatments. If you wish to consider a “fat freeze” slimming treatment, Coolsculpting is still one of the safest options because Coolsculpting is the first USA FDA approved treatment that is non-surgical and non-invasive: besides up to [10] million treatments have been performed worldwide. The “fat-freeze” treatment helps to reduce fats by using the technique cryolipolysis – freezing fatty tissue and allowing your body to discharge them as dead fat cells. When the temperature is lowered to sub-freezing levels, the fat cells freeze and die before any of your other cells. You may experience temporary redness, swelling or skin sensitivity after the treatment but it will recover within days. It is extremely rare to have serious side effects such as paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH).
